Principal Photographer Natalie Ord
Natalie’s love of photography was initially spurred by a life-long love of the great outdoors. Before becoming a full-time photographer, Natalie was an environmental scientist. She could be found knee deep in the Murray river, undertaking fauna surveys in the Alps and working with landholders to improve the biodiversity values on their properties.
Then, aged 21, Natalie went on a trip that changed her life. An environmental exchange program to California took her to new landscapes including Yosemite National Park where the famous photographer Ansel Adams once roamed. She was bitten by the travel bug and has since toured and photographed extensively within Australia and overseas. Her online gallery has attracted over a million visits and she has exhibited and named #5 Pro Photographer of the Year 2017 received a Commendation in the Sony World Photography Organisation London, finalist in the 2017 National Photographic Portrait Prize , finalist in the International Macquarie Photography Prize, Hume Bank Acquisitive Contemporary Art Award, MAMA Art Foundation National Photography Prize and won the International Women’s Day photography competition, received the John & Margaret Baker Memorial Fellowship 2016 ,featured in Digital Photography Magazine. Natalie has developed a diverse portfolio of work – whether as a travel photographer, intrepidly photographing for a nude portrait shoot in Death Valley, Nevada in searing 50 degree heat, or on-stage photographing high-calibre musicians including Cold Chisel, Carlos Santana, John Mayer, The Doobie Brothers, The Wailers, Chris Isaak and Bonnie Raitt.
This experience has equipped Natalie with razor sharp technical skills, the capacity to adapt quickly to the unique challenges of every filming environment and the ability to stay cool and positive under pressure.
We’d love to have a chat with you about your project. Feel free to drop Natalie an email or call to make a time for an obligation-free chat.
