I am so excited to see Melanie Ruth’s cookbook launched this weekend at the Albury Library Museum as a part of the ‘Write Around The Murray Festival’.

The cookbook called “Hungry”, created for children, tells the story of a butterfly who travels around the world sampling foods of different cultures. The cookbook has hand-drawn pictures by children, recipes of each of the meals and my photographs!

For this project we photographed five different families (Butanese, Mexican, Russian, Sudanese, Aboriginal) in the region who each prepared a traditional meal. I was lucky not only to photograph these delicious meals, but be welcomed into their homes and taste the cultural fare!
